How do you introduce nematodes to plants in your home?

On this page you will find the release instructions for releasing 10 million nematodes into chamber plates. For successful nematode control, it is important that our release instructions are followed as closely as possible. Since combating nematodes often involves large quantities of nematodes, it is not necessary to be accurate to the millimeter or milliliter. Always make sure that the soil of your houseplants is moist before and after releasing the nematodes. Do this for at least 2 weeks.

How much water do I need?

Calculate approximately 200 ml of water per plant where you want to introduce the nematodes. If there are small plants, calculate a little less and a little more for large plants. If you have plants that require little water, such as cacti, you can charge half. Remove your nematodes from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Mix the nematodes with water

Mix the nematodes with the amount of water determined above. It is best to use lukewarm water between 15 and 20 degrees. You can mix this in a bucket, in a watering can or measuring cup. Stir the mixture well for about 5 minutes. Use the entire mixture and do not leave it for too long. The mixture must be distributed to the plants within 4 hours after mixing.

Release the nematodes from your plants

Pour the water with the nematodes onto your plants just as you normally water them. Make sure that the soil of your plants is kept moist for 2 weeks. We recommend releasing the nematodes as soon as possible after receipt. If this is not possible, nematodes can be stored in the refrigerator between 3 and 7 degrees for approximately 7 days after receipt.
